Temple of Hephaestus

The Temple of Hephaestus (Hephaisteion) is the most intact building of the Ancient Agora of Athens as well as the most preserved ancient temple in Greece. In the 7th century, the temple was converted to a Christian church dedicated to St. George (Agios Georgios Akamates).
